Annet Mahendru
Mahendru, a Russian-Indian mother was born in Afghanistan. She speaks fluently in German Russian and English and is also fluent in French Persian and Hindi. Annet Mahendru is the daughter of an Indian father, as well as a Russian mom. An improvised performance she choreographed at the age of 11, which appeared on German television, transformed her into an Russian dancer and snow maiden. She graduated from high school at the age of 11 in New York and received a bachelor of Arts in English at St. John's University. She was a student of improv and comedy in the Groundlings School after leaving HB Studio. She was created by her parents in Kabul Afghanistan, to Hindu-Indian Ghanshan Kenne Mahendru (father) as well as Russian Olga (mother). The family moved from Afghanistan to East Meadow New York, along with her father, when she turned 13 and stars alongside Matthew Rhys and Keri Russel in FX's The Americans. Her most well-known role is the former KGB agent Nina Sergeevna Krilova in FX's The Americans. The actress was a regular character in The Following on Fox, The Following, and NBC's The Blacklist.
